Airbrush Tanning Preparation Guide

Wax + Shave
Complete waxing at least 48 hours before your appointment. Shaving should be done the night prior with a razor that does not have moisturizing strips.

Exfoliate
Exfoliate thoroughly the day before using a mitt. Avoid oil-based scrubs as they can leave residue and block your tan from developing evenly.

Spa Treatments
Facials, massages, or any beauty treatments should be scheduled prior to your tan, as oils and products can create barriers.

No Barriers
On the day of your appointment, avoid deodorant, lotions, oils, perfumes, or makeup. These create a barrier that prevents even tanning.

Clothing
Wear dark, loose-fitting clothing with open-toed shoes or sandals. Some bronzer transfer may occur but washes out easily.

Mani + Pedi
If you’re planning a manicure or pedicure, schedule it before your tan. Avoid lotions or oils at the salon that could interfere with absorption.

Showering
Avoid heavy cream or bar soaps (like Dove) prior to your tan, as they can leave a film on the skin. Use a clear, gentle body wash and rinse thoroughly.
